Admin Assistant

General administration duties to include but are not limited to;

  • Filing
  • Scanning
  • Taking Deliveries
  • Greeting Visitors

Purchasing administration duties to include but are not limited to;

  • Ordering computer hardware
  • Software licenses & renewals
  • Telephone services (broadband lines etc.)
  • Selecting best-priced supplier from a list of approved suppliers
  • Ordering company stationary and refreshments etc.

Accounts administration to include but are not limited to;

  • Preparing and sending invoices & statements using Sage 50 Accounts on a regular basis
  • Assist with credit control - contacting customers regarding overdue accounts to confirm anticipated payment date and notifying senior managers of seriously overdue/problem accounts.


  • Good communication skills and good team player
  • Previous and recent experience in an administration role
  • Good telephone manner
  • Good data entry, typing and writing skills
  • An interest in IT and technology in general would be beneficial but not essential
  • An ability to learn new skills as required
  • A full clean driving license
  • Flexibility with an enthusiastic approach to your work
  • An ability to learn new skills as required
  • A "can do" attitude is essential!
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Applications

Qualifications & grades:

  • GCSE English grade C or above
  • GCSE Maths grade C or above
  • MCSA Server 2012

Other useful skills but not required:

  • Used Sage 50

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary range £16,000 - £18,000
  • 4 weeks holiday in years 1-3, increasing to 5 weeks holiday after 3 years of service
  • Company contributory pension
  • Company private health care after 1 year of service
  • Company death in service cover after 1 year of service
